Report of Alumni

The second Alumni Meet ‘Sampark II stay Connected’ was organized by alumni board on 27 th April 2014 in Dyal Singh College Auditorium.

The meet started traditionally with applying Kumkum on the forehead of the alumni. Then one of the alumni, was called upon the dais for lighting of lamp. The occasion was graced by 53 alumni ranging across various batches from Karnal, Chandigarh, Panipat , Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.

They were welcomed with an emotional speech, followed by school song and cultural programme. The students of our School presented Ganesh Vandna and there was solo dance performance by our dance teacher. Some of the alumni narrated their experiences in the school and relieved their old memories with their batchmates, juniors and seniors.

The key highlight of the day was the visit of Punjabi legend Gurdas Mann alongwith Jassi Gill , Neeru Bajwa and Rajeev Thakur.

This gala event kicked off to let set go with the presenting the bouquets to the guests. The alumni, teaching faculty and the students were thrilled to see them. The ambience became electric when Gurdas Maan and Jassi Gill performed on the stage and everybody joined them with enthusiasm. Later on the gifts were distributed to the alumni. The audience really enjoyed this part of the event. Principal & Vice Principal thanked the alumni and said that this was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with people, and also acknowledged the sincere efforts of all the teaching and non teaching staff for the success of this programme.

The meet ended with promise to meet again and everybody bid an emotional farewell to each other.
